Advanced Skills Camp- Early Fall 2020

RECREATIONAL PLAYER PROGRAM

Tuesdays, September 15-October 13 (5 Weeks)

​ This program is designed for players looking to enhance and expand
their ​developed basketball skills, but not in our PINK ELITE Club program yet.  Players of all skill levels welcome.  Groups will be set based on skill level and maintained throughout the session.



Sessions will focus on shooting form, footwork and shot preparation, developing shooting range and accuracy, advanced ballhandling, attacking the basket using ballhandling moves, offensive moves from triple threat, advanced layup skills, and scoring from the block.  

 

This session will be completed all "Non-Contact".  All players will use their own ball and no offense vs defense game play will exist.  Sessions will focus on all offensive skills training as done at Summer Camp 2020.  

5 on 5 League Specifics and Registration will be up mid September based on the current situation with Covid-19 .

5 on 5 League- Save the Date:

Level 1-3- Fridays, October 30- December 18

Level 5- Tuesdays, October 27- December 15

Choose your Session:

Level 1/2-  Kinder-2nd grade

Beginner skill level with up to one year experience, 1st-2nd grade, and Kindergarteners with athletic experience and ability to dribble the basketball with both hands continuously.  7' to 8' hoop height 

6:50-7:50pm

Level 2/3- 2nd-5th grade 
Intermediate skills level- 9-10 foot hoop height and players still developing proper shooting form and understanding of one hand shooting and guide hand. 

2nd graders need Coach permission for this session.

4:30-5:30pm

Level 5- 6th-8th grade
Players comfortable with a 10 foot hoop and wanting to further develop skills, gain more confidence, and still working on proper shooting form in game situations.   Highly recommended for players interested in possibly trying out for PINK ELITE Club Team this spring.

5th graders need Coach permission for this session.

Program Specifics

  • Cost$115 (5- 60 minute sessions)
    • Early Bird Registration- $105 through August 15
  • ​​Camp Location- Community Sportsplex, 24035 W. Riverwalk Court, Plainfield
  • Required equipment: Bring a basketball to each session, Kinder-3rd- 27.5", 4th- 6th- 28.5"
  • ​Spots will fill up quickly- register early to guarantee your spot in this unique program aimed to prepare athletes for a successful 2020 basketball season.  Small coach/player ratios guarantee individual attention and high repetitions.

Covid-19 Session Adjustments

Health and Safety of all players, coaches, and parents are the top priority so following all protocol will be taken seriously to maintain a safe environment for all.  The guidelines below are designed to protect all participants, avoiding opportunities for individuals to congregate in groups greater than 10:

  • Players and Coaches only allowed to enter the Sportsplex.  Checkin will occur at building entrance.
  • All players will have their temperature checked at entrance- any player with a temperature will not be allowed to participate that day.
  • Masks are required at entrance but will not be used during participation.
  • Players will spread out belongs along gym in designated spots to allow appropriate social distancing with belongs.
  • All players must bring their own Basketball and Hand Sanitizer.
  • Staggering session start and finish times
  • Scheduling 15-minute windows before and after each practice for entry and egress
  • Separate Entry (Sportsplex Doors- East side of building) and Exit (Church Entrance Doors- North side of building)
  • Restroom will be available, but use will be limited to 2 individuals at any one time. Participants should not plan on changing clothes in the restroom. Restrooms will be sanitized/wiped down on a regular basis as will the entry doors.
  • Bring Water Bottles (Single Use Water bottles encouraged)- Water fountains will not be accessible.   Water and Sports Drinks may be purchased at the Concession if needed.  Any water bottles left at the end of a session will be discarded.
  • Participants are to wait outside in their vehicle until their scheduled time to enter
  • All participants must leave immediately after their scheduled practice to allow for the next group to enter the facility during their allotted entry time.
